Thailand - Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to propose tourist stay extension to 45 days

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is set to propose to the Prime Minister an extension of the current special tourist visa’s validity from 30 to 45 days, while remaining confident the COVID-19 situation will be under control by the end of the Emergency Decree which is currently active.

The National Security Council’s Secretary General Gen Nattapon Nakpanich, the Director of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), has convened a special committee meeting with officials of the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to consider further relaxing COVID-19 control measures.
