Batam Getaway - 27 March to 28 March 2010

Had a relaxing weekend getaway at Batam. The sun was scotching hot and I am now having sunburnt..should have applied more lotion...

Did I also mention that I am down with stomach flu too? Been in and out of the toilet for more than 20 times in a day!

Still, it was fun going away with a group of friends and of course, with my honey tagging along...made the trip even more enjoyable!

Lady Gaga is a really interesting artiste. Love this video. Always enjoy seeing Beyonce taking on a Diva persona rather than Miss Congeniality's mode. These ladies are fun!

Heading home soon.

First time departing from Taipei Airport Terminal 2, they have done a nice job to make T2 much much more interesting and hippy than T1.

My favourite tea drinking place. So serene and artistic. Their staff even recognised me though I have only been there 3 times, once every year.

Such a nice scenery.

I just love Jiufen so much, I seriously wish to be able to retire there.

If only I can wake up to such scenery every single day...

Onboard SQ flights

Watched 4 movies on the flights, they were "The Blind Side", "Precious", "Up In The Air" and "Hachiko's - A Dog's Story". Great entertainment.

Agreed with Oprah that Monique gave a powerful performance in "Precious", go watch this show if you can spare the time. It is a movie with a wake-up call.

I love Sandra Bullock but I think that she may not as deserving for her Oscar's win as the thespian Meryl Streep though Sandra gave a competent performance in "The Blind Side". If Julia Roberts can win Oscar for her performance in "Erin Brokovich" then Sandra is equally well poised for her win.

"Hachiko - A Dog's Story" is a touching story, to think that a dog can be so loyal to keep on waiting for it's master after his death till it's own demise.

George Clooney is playing himself in "Up In The Air", his never say yes to comittment is a direct portrayal of his own belief. Loved the turn twister near the end of the movie, a player being outsmart by another player.
