Children Cancer Foundation Hair For Hope 2014

Simply because I believe that our future is shaped by our younger generation and every single child should stand an equal chance to contribute to our sunny little island. No one should be left behind because he / she may have started a little later than their peers.

These children are a precious lot (not only to their dads and mums) but also to their friends and anyone who matters. They too deserve to be on the same path as their friends to enjoy their childhood, go through the hard knocks of life (then again, they are already going through now) to appreciate the moments. However, they may not be able to be on the same starting point due to their health status but they should never be deprived of the same rights to enjoy, contribute and lead.

As adults, we are able to psyche ourselves to be resilient and pick ourselves up from where we fall. But these children, they need guidance and tonnes of support to believe in themselves. The best way for us, the general public, to show these wonderful children that we are living in a world filled with love, empathy and hope; we should extend our support more than just words. I, for one, will stand shoulders to shoulders with them with my bald head and be a walking "advertisement" that it is absolutely fine to be bald and that we, baldies, will not be discriminated because we have no hair!
