Trump on December 16 signed a Proclamation expanding and strengthening entry restrictions on nationals from countries with demonstrated, persistent, and severe deficiencies in screening, vetting, and information-sharing to protect the Nation from national security and public safety threats.

Australia: Global Entry program open to more Australians

​​​​​​​​​Global Entry is a United States Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) program that allows faster immigration and customs clearance for eligible Australians who have been pre-approved when entering the United States.

The expanded Global Entry program commenced on 15 December 2025.
