China - Beijing passes regulation to optimize foreign investment environment

Beijing passed its first special regulation on foreign investment on Friday, representing the Chinese capital's latest effort to promote further opening up and boost its appeal to global investors.

This regulation was passed on Friday 31 May at the 10th session of the Standing Committee of the 16th Beijing Municipal People's Congress, the local legislature. It is scheduled to become effective on July 1.
