Realise Your Dreams

Many people go through life disappointed and dejected because they have lost faith in their ability to realize their dreams. Their excuses are often due to a lack of money, fear of ridicule or failure, and feelings of being tied to the present situation with no way out.

I think we all have the ability to achieve our dreams, but we may just need to adjust how we look at them. In other words, we may need to look at them from a different perspective. That starts by brainstorming all of the various ways our dreams could be accomplished, no matter how silly or crazy these solutions may seem.

By writing down and considering every single idea that crosses you, vis-à-vis your dreams, you actually open your mind to all of the possibilities and that brings them that much closer to reality. One easy thing is that, after considering the possibilities you come up with, pick a solution you can do right now, and then DO it.

Taking steps toward achieving your dream, may take you in slightly different directions that are even more attractive to you. Serendipity happens, and it happens more often when we are actively engaged in achieving something important to us.

A CSR reverted on behalf of the department to "apologise" for the lack of miscommunication and indicated that my complaint will be forwarded to the respective department for information. Stopped short of explaining the airline's policy over such incidents and what is the airline's service recovery or stance for preventing further re-occurrences.

Will be sharing my tweet @ Ellen DeGeneres after having tweeted @ Oprah. After that, will be calling it a day. It's official, no more TG flights henceforth.

Referencing to my previous email appended below, I have not heard from your office pertaining to my feedback. I am expecting your office to provide a satisfactory explanation to me not later than 11 November 2011, Friday.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the way your crew handled my situation and now your office lack of response to my feedback. I demand an official explanation.

I was a passenger onboard TG401 from Bangkok to Singapore on 25 October 2011, 1940 hours flight; seating at 32A. I had the most unpleasant flight in all my years of flying with various airlines and defnitely not a first time passenger flying with Thai Airways.

While my previous experiences with Thai Airways have been good, this time I am utterly disappointed with the episode onboard the flight.

While the crew was serving dinner from the back end of the plane, the passenger seating in front of me had reclined his seat back that it was impossible to release my tray to place my dinner. When one of the crew, a male steward made his way to my row, I requested for him to inform the passenger in front of me to straighten his seat so that I can release my tray.

To my horror, the male steward's curt reply was "I do not have the authority to do so" and offered nothing more. I was dumbfounded that in that situation, the tray could not have been released in the manner that the dinner can be placed on the tray without falling off. And the steward did not offer any other solution to ease my predicament.

I had to bend sideways to my partner's seat and reached over to tap on that passenger's shoulder to ask him to straighten his seat so that my dinner can be placed on the tray.

Please enlighten me what is your airline's protocol in handling such situations? Are your crew being trained adequately to offer alternatives or handy assistance to legitimate requests from a well behaved and polite passenger?

I am absolutely disgusted with the way your crew handled the situation and brushed me aside, if I do not request for the passenger in front of me to straighten his seat myself, does it mean that your crew is to skip serving me my dinner since there is no way the tray could have been released without having the food tray slipping off.

The whole incident had left an extremely bad aftertaste and made me lost total faith in your airline.

To ensure that my unhappiness was being made known adequately, I had also written a note to the flight's senior crew and passed the note about 30 mins before touching down in Singapore. But no one came to explain the situation to me or to provide me with a clearer picture of what could have been done, should have been done and would have been done.

Had the most unpleasant flight back to Sg from Bkk.

It wasn't as good as I thought it would be however it's a no brainer that Ivan put in a commendable performance as Emily. His attention to little details to differentiate the various phases of Emily's life was spot on and were done without the assistance of make-up.

The 1st half was much weaker than the 2nd half in terms of pace and development. And I do not enjoy the way the plot cuts from current to reminising then back to current all in 1 scene. But then again, solo act is the toughest challenge.

To me, I enjoyed most when Emily strayed away from the story plot to give the latecomers a dressing down and made them apologised to the audience. So matriarch! But of course, all these were done in a good natured manner.

3 giant spaceships will attack Earth in 2012: researchers

A report by the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) in the United States said that there are three giant spaceships which are heading towards Earth.

According to the Russian Pravda news, the SETI, a non-commercial organization said that the largest one of the three spaceships is 240 kilometers wide, and the two others are smaller.

It further stated that currently, the objects are beyond the orbit of Pluto and will reach Earth in December 2012.

The report claims that the spaceships were detected by the HAARP search system, based in Alaska, which is designed to study the phenomenon of northern lights.

According to the SETI researchers the objects are nothing but extraterrestrial spaceships, and will be visible in optical telescopes as soon as they reach Mars' orbit, reported the Pravda news.
